Description

The HAAS appliance consists of an expansion screw affixed to an acrylic plate that is placed in the vault of the palate. Lingual arms are laser welded to the bands, which are incorporated into the acrylic. Dr. Haas postulated that greater palatal coverage could reduce tipping and facilitate more bodily movement by providing additional coverage on the palate. Our expansion appliance includes a custom swivel key that features an activation recording tool integrated directly onto the handle.
